Primary school English teacher 李雅琳
By Meng Haoran
In Spring one sleeps, unaware of dawn;
everywhere one hears crowing birds.
In the night came the sound of wind and rain;
who knows how many flowers fell?
These days ,the poem above has been very popular, especially among the children in Huamei Primary school .
Recently, since the new semester started , the primary of Huamei has set up a new style of moral lessons. Through the main thread , the Nature and the Four seasons ,the students are able to commune with nature. This kind of creative moral lessons are base on the plants, the animals and the phenomenon in different seasons around the students . The lessons enable the students to get fully engagement in the Chinese culture and to be penetrated with patriotic feeling.
Chinese poems’ reading about Spring can be heard in the class as well as after the class. The enthusiasm of the students’ on Chinese culture can be witnessed every second . Going a spring outing with parents , designing innovative posters on Spring , picking up the kapok blossoms on the grass , planting a new tree on the hill are all the proofs to show the students’ affection for the spring .
It is spring ! It is time to embrace this lovely season . It nurtures all the living things on ground . It teaches the students how to love our life and our culture . In this lively season , the students in Huamei Primary are developing with poem , culture and love.
